Bible Discussions

Tuesday discussion, May 12:

  • 6:30 PM potluck dinner, 7:00 PM discussion
  • Meet in the picnic shelter near Eagle Heights 706

TIME: On Tuesdays in the summer, we will meet at 7:00 PM for discussion. If you wish, bring food to share and come early for a potluck dinner at 6:30 PM.

LOCATION: Outdoors in Eagle Heights at the picnic shelter near apartment 706, which is close to the playground (see image below, or https://maps.app.goo.gl/8JroCtcZrJGw7WfA9). In case of rain, please contact us for a location update.

AGENDA: At 6:30 PM, we gather for food and conversation. At 7:00 PM, we begin by singing a few songs with a guitar. Then we read and discuss the Bible together. We will break into two groups for discussion. You can choose the introductory study about the "Gospel of John" or the more advanced study "Ephesians." The goal is to apply new insights we have learned to our lives.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PRACTICE: We use the English language for reading and discussing, so it's great reading, listening and speaking practice! But, if you prefer reading in your native language, we can try to get a Bible for you in whatever language you request.

ALL ARE WELCOME: No previous knowledge is necessary. People of all religions and beliefs are welcome to come and discuss! Children and teens are also welcome.  Our outdoor meeting location is conveniently close to a playground where the kids can play together and you can keep an eye on them.

NO COST OR REGISTRATION. The activities are FREE!

The Wednesday evening Sheboygan Ave area group will take a break until mid-May.

This discussion group is an opportunity to explore life’s big questions together in an open, informal environment. Each discussion is designed to create conversation. It’s free and everyone is welcome regardless of your beliefs.

This discussion takes place on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 PM. The location is at the Carolina Apartments, 4859 Sheboygan Avenue, Apartment 120. We will start with a light meal together, then read the text of John from the Bible together and have a discussion. The discussion will be mainly in English, although some Chinese language speakers are usually present to answer questions in Mandarin. Questions are encouraged! :)
